this might be an angry rant but it's true, we have to many players who are good in random battles, but fail at team battles because they do not listen to the battle leader. read the rant below take onboard what he is saying. when you fight in out team battles. shut up and listen. you are not in a platoon having fun you are working for the betterment of the clan, we don't need a running comentry from everyone. we don't need your opinion we don't need you to argue with the plan. if you think you have better plans you will have the opportunity to lead in the next battle. team battles are what they say 'team' battles. not randoms where you go off and do what you want. if you don't have a head you can't follow orders so you are usless to us. and will be used as a last resort. First off, this contains mature language and I was a little bit pissed off when I wrote it. But like I care
How to Clan Wars
Hello I'm kattovisch and I'm the deputy commander for Kazna Kru on the EU cluster. I've been a deputy for only 6 months but an experienced CW player for much longer and here is my insight on Clan Wars and the many mistakes/fuck-ups people do. But enough with pleasantries. What I will do is to explain the various playstyles on different tanks and what you should do and what you never should do. Easy as that. But first off, the most important player skill you can have. I can't stress how important this is to you, it can swing a game around and it's really so fucking easy. What is it you say? Communication!!! This is one of the biggest reason why you fail at clan wars. Report stuff to your FC, artillerist and rest of team mates. When in a push, who to shoot next? Who needs shielding? Did artillery fire? Work on your fucking communication!! It even comes to artillery-players, but that will be covered later.
What I expect from your tanks. Sixth sense is a must and camoskill on all scouts. From there it is all up to you, but there's some skills that you really should put on certain tanks. You don't know which ones? Sucks being you, this is about Clan Wars you muppet.
PASSIVE SCOUTS
Basicly your hiding-in-bushes tanks. Played perfectly by Bat Chats and RU Med (Obj 430 with the best camovalue but who cares). Leo can rotate the Bat Chat if needed. Passive scouts are what they sound to be. PASSIVE. This means they use binocs along with coated and maybe even camonet, it all depends on your FC and what he expects from you LATER in the fight. You should never ever fucking never EVER shoot as a passive scout unless instructed to do otherwise. Shooting reveals your position and compromises your team by losing field of view on that critical point the FC instructed you to have an eye over. The enemy can lure into that area and/or move their passive scout in a position that will constantly keep spotting your previous passive position. GG, you just failed moron. How to park in a bush? Forward facing? Yes, partially. With your turret atleast. The hull should be facing away for a quick escape. Capisce?
ACTIVE SCOUTS
Bat Chats are born and bred for this. T-50-2 used to do this to perfection but that tank is lost [insert sad smiley here]. Leo's can rotate the Bat Chat and any given russian medium can replace it if played carefully but I wouldn't recommend it. Here comes another tricky playstyle. Coated is a must and binocs is optional if FC doesn't tell you otherwise. ”But active scouting is really easy, you just drive around like a muppet and light everything up!” LOL! And thats how you fail. Active scouting requires alot more from your personal skill level. Where to drive to spot as much as possible? Where to drive after the initial spot so you don't get caught by enemies firing upon you? Where to go after the evasive manouvers? You probably got a secondary passive spot position after your initial early spot where you need to act as a passive scout. If you didn't you need to keep those enemies light up as much as possible. What you should do is try and approach the spot from different angles and paths every single fucking time. What you shouldn't do is use the same fucking angle and path every fucking time thus increasing the chance of enemy pre-aimed/blindfire/artillery nailing your sorry little ass.
Now on some maps you use less mediums as scouts and put in hull down or sidescraping heavies to do the actual spotting. But do I really need to cover that cause if you are that guy you are supposed to stay on your fucking position spotting that special place for a fucking reason. So dont move away or turn your turret away from that. Best used for this is IS-7 and Maus.
DPS
T57, AMX 50B, Bat Chat, RU Mediums. Most of you know what this means, if you don't then you suck. It stands for Damage Per Second and it basicly tells you how fast a certain tank can output damage. The higher the number the more damage it can spew out. There is two kinds of DPS tanks. Clippers, putting out a high burstdamage with their clips and then reloading for a long time. Constant shooters, doesn't have a clip for a constant DPS but lacking that burstdamage. Now there is a lot of ways to use DPS tanks as they are both aquired from mediumline, heavyline and the only TD. Mediums and HT tank be used in a push. The Whatthefuckenträger is best used in a defensive position. When using clippers they are best situated BEHIND the heavy tanks that are supposed to soak up damage. This is fucking critical since the clippers can cause so much damage in so little time thus being very important. These tanks are NOT USED for any fucking spotting. If you are playing a T57 or AMX 50B in a supportive role then STAY FUCKING UNSPOTTED. When used they PUSH in and do not fucking peekaboom with anything. A clipper goin around a corner and trading shots with a TD is considered a fucking bobtard and should be kicked from the clan, unless he is really needed.
Another way to use DPS tanks is running with mediums in a wolfpack. BC and/or RU med groups can be used but they are best put to used in a mix of 30-40% Bats and the rest RU meds for that constant stream of fire. These groups rotate around open maps and provide fire from new positions each time. This kindof movement is mostly used by better clans and should not be used in lesser skilled ones since it requires alot more from players. In a pushing fashion they are best used as a second line of tanks coming in from behind the HT that started the initial push, like 50B's or 57's.
TANK TENKS!
Yes, the damagesoaking tanks. Maus, E-100, IS-7 and no not the IS-4. Its a pile of junk best used as a bookstand. These are the ones able to stay hull down, sidescrape a corner and spearhead a push. They either have alot more HP or are harder to penetrate even with goldammo. When in a push these tanks spearhead and are supposed to be first in the line and actually PUSH THE FUCK IN. Stopping in the middle of a push would be considered stupid beyond the point that its fucking amazing you managed to put clothes on without strangling yourself.
ARTILLERY
These guys are one of the most important players of your CW squad. I'm not shitting you. A good arty can save you a battle, a great one an entire week of battles. A really good artyplayer doesn't just do loads of dmg he also communicates alot with the FC and scouts. Keeping up communications here is one of the most vitals things in a battle. He can trace tree's falling down, help with blindfiring tanks to see if they connect and so on. The arty isn't just limited to doing dmg. Also direct hits is just a bonus, what really means is splashing. Hearing ”he is behind a rock...” just calls for a fucking slap on the face. Splash that fucker out from cover, if you are more then two arties then one shoot on one side and the other wait 2-4 seconds and shoots on the other side for maximum possible splash/dmg. If you can't hit him and you have the entire map to move on. THEN FUCKING MOVE FOR A BETTER SHOT! An artillery isn't meant to be stationary in the fucking capcircle for 15 minutes, dumbass! He also needs to keep up with the scouts on his reload and where he is aiming. Scouts need to keep on eye on his reload and tell him where they will most probably spot any tanks. If they don't then the fucking FC is a total butthead and should be left without internet for 2 weeks. Oh and yes. REFUCKINGLOCATE AFTER EACH SHOT INSTANTLY!
COMMUNIFUCKINGCATION
Can't stress anymore how fucking important it is with information during a battle. If you don't grasp this you might want the instructions on how your toiletseat works so you don't take a shit in the sink and piss in the laundrybasket.
MOST COMMON MISTAKES
In no general order what so ever:
•Not communication enough!
•Stupid fucking trading. Peeking out from a corner to ”take a shot” and getting fragged the living shit out cause you thought ”if I do some dmg they would notice me and the commanders would praise me” FUCKING WRONG DIPSHIT! Stay in cover means stay in fucking cover.
•Shooting in passive scouting. There's just so much explaining to do regarding this guys parents lack of everything. He was probably brought up eating the actual box of cereal instead of the crunchy things inside it.
•Not communicating ENOUGH!
•Passive fucking play. Sometimes initiative is a good thing, but this requires more from your playerskill if any. Example: a passive scout that knows he will get spotted in less then seconds cause of a rush can pull of a shot or two before running away. Two is just optional if the correct cover is provided.
•Every artyplayer should know to relocate after each shot. This means instantly, it doesn't mean watching your shot land somewhere and then move. This requires a special kindof retard not to move after each shot.
•COMMUNICATE!!!!
EDIT: This is as much a personal note to my fellow clanmates as it is a general rant. FYI.
